RATP Dev at the Toronto Global Forum: “we believe in the value of a collaborative ecosystem”

Each year, the International Economic Forum of the Americas brings together personalities from political and business worlds to think about major economic issues and develop strategic partnerships between Canadian and international actors.

At the eleventh version of the forum in Toronto, RATP Dev presented its vision of transport infrastructures in an increasingly interconnected world.

Open Tour Paris launches the first 100%-electric, hop-on, hop-off sightseeing bus in Paris

Extrapolitan alliance member Open Tour Paris has teamed up with the manufacturer UNVI to design the first 100%-electric, double-decker, open-topped bus. As a first for the market, the 12-metre vehicle can carry up to 75 passengers. Its range of 150 km per day means it can make up to 250 stops to enable passengers to hop on and off as they please. The entire Open Tour Paris fleet, comprising 40 vehicles, will be converted to electricity by 2024. 

Lorient Agglomération awarded RATP Dev the contract to run its bus and boat network

The CTRL network caters to over 200,000 inhabitants of the 25 municipalities in the Lorient conurbation. It has 34 regular urban bus lines, 11 inter-urban lines, four maritime lines including the Ar Vag Tredan boat – the world’s first ferry to be 100% electrically-powered by ultra-capacitors – 126 school bus lines, ten ToD lines and a transport service for reduced-mobility passengers. The network will also have 21 event-based lines during the Festival Interceltique de Lorient. 

RNTP 2017: RATP Dev demonstrates its expertise in innovative and sustainable mobility

RNTP brings together all the French public transport and mobility parties together every two years to share leading experiments in regions, compare points of view and find out about the latest mobility innovations. This year’s event took in Marseilles, south of France, a city committed as part of the Aix-Marseille-Provence conurbation to a project of improving and developing large-scale transport services. 

Boulogne-sur-Mer

The Communauté d'Agglomération du Boulonnais (CAB) covers 22 municipalities around the city of Boulogne-sur-Mer. To connect its 120,000 residents, the regional authority has developed the Marinéo network, comprising 4 main routes, 7 complementary, 4 local, coupled with school services, on-demand transportation and services for people with reduced mobility, more recently a long-term rental service for electric bikes.

Free shuttles cover the centre of Boulogne-sur-Mer and two lines running on market days allow residents to go shopping without using their cars.

Latium

Cilia Italia is based in Palestrina in the province of Rome. Over the years, Cilia Italia has built up a solid reputation in local public transport and tourism. The company’s history dates back to the 1920s, when Cilia S.p.A. was founded. The company first specialized in freight transport. In the 1930s and 1940s, Cilia developed its core business also in the transportation of passengers. In the 1980s, school transportation was added to the company’s range of services.

SETRAM awarded at the 2017 Light Rail Awards, in London

SETRAM − the joint venture established by RATP Dev, EMA and TRANSTEV group in Algeria – was awarded in the category “Project of the year over 50 million euros” for the Sidi Bel Abbes network. Several million passengers are expected yearly on this line, which stretches along 14 km with 22 stops and five sales agencies. It officially entered service on July 25th 2017.  

SETRAM also runs the tramway in Algiers, Constantine and Oran, carrying each year nearly 40 million passengers. 
 

RATP Dev appoints Cyrille Giraudat as Marketing, Digital and Innovation Director

Previously Vice-President of Capgemini Consulting, Cyrille advised and assisted large French and international corporations to define and develop their marketing and digital strategies.

As Chief Marketing, Digital & Customer Officer at EUROPCAR Group from 2014 to 2016, Cyrille drove the digitalization of EUROPCAR’s customer experience. 

Previously, as Chief Marketing, Digital & Customer Officer, he was the driving force behind PMU's digital and multi-channel transformation plan. 

RATP Dev confirmed in Casablanca to run the tramway network

RATP Dev subsidiary CASA TRAM implemented and has been operating Casablanca’s T1 tramway line since 2012. The line celebrated its 100 millionth passenger in 2016. Thanks to a new contract including commissioning, operation and maintenance for four new tramway lines and two BHLS lines, RATP Dev Casablanca (the new name for the local entity) will be the operator of the most ambitious urban transport project in Africa.
