The RATP Group Foundation and Samusocial International sign a sponsorship agreement for the social integration of young people living on the streets in Egypt.

The RATP Group Foundation and Samusocial International signed a sponsorship agreement on 24th of July in support of a project to "Pave the way for the social & professional integration of young people living on the streets in Egypt".

Led on the ground by the Egyptian branch of Samusocial International, the project aims to pave the way for the independence and social-professional integration of 120 young people aged 15-24 living on the margins of society. They are now hosted in 7 partner centres across Cairo and acquiring a new level of education and essential life skills.

Apart from financial support, they get a significant boost from RATP Dev Mobility Cairo - the local RATP Dev subsidiary - in the form of opportunities to learn about the company and its lines of work, as well as internships, mentoring from employees, and mobility assistance.

This project is part of a broader programme from Samusocial International. The letter of intent behind the programme was also signed on 24th of July by several other partners under the aegis of the French Development Agency, including two Egyptian organisations: the Sawiris Foundation and a company called ORA. Beyond the professional integration aspect supported by the RATP Group, the broader programme also includes a significant component aimed at social reintegration through sport, which is supported by the other partners.
