San Angelo

RATP Dev has served Concho Valley Transit District (CVTD) since late 2015. The expert RATP Dev staff has implemented many improvements in service to the system. CVTD has placed a high priority on safety, reliability, and customer service. In response, RATP Dev implemented a new Operator training program, centralized dispatching, rural bus & coach pass system, and introduced “regional clustering” to maximize efficiency, all in just over a year.

City of Tyler

In 2017, RATP Dev quickly resolved Tyler Transit challenges by: 

  • Developing a streamlined budget outlay to appropriately share costs with Federal and State subsidies.

  • Placing stricter controls on labor costs.

  • Creating a continuous monitoring process of labor usage and overtime.

As a result, RATP Dev management boosted productivity and services to the citizens and visitors of Tyler.

Charlotte

  • Determined significance of ‘unscheduled’ absenteeism and subsequently, modified contract language and implemented a ‘no-fault’ attendance policy in maintenance.

  • Monitoring Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) use more closely and requiring proper documentation when FMLA is used.   

Arlington

We renewed our contract with the Entertainment District in the Beginning of 2018, (5 Years with 2 - two year options). The lease at our old facility was expiring, and we moved to a new location in the heart of the Entertainment District. This reduced our deadhead time and mileage, enabling us to provide better service and reduce fuel consumption and operator wages.

Oxford

RATP Dev helped Oxford University Transit establish social media best practices to guide staff on the appropriate use of social media. 

Yuma

The proposal to bring a Just Culture to Yuma becomes a reality. Drivers are noticing the changes and appreciating the effort. 

Brooksville

Developed a route match process manual for training improvements.

Cross-trained all operations and administrative employees to perform all functions.

Implemented strategic initiatives such as smart cards, building ridership with local hotels/motels.

Implemented RATP Dev USA marketing kit to build a social presence.

Longview

RATP Dev established a student/intern program to provide hands-on experience to students that also provides Longview Transit part-time maintenance assistance.  To bolster the program, RATP Dev's local Director of Maintenance became a member of the advisory board for the school of diesel mechanics at the community college to identify potential students early in the cycle when they seek valuable internship experience. 

Springdale

In 2017, the National Parks Association asked RATP Dev to pilot a program with a Proterra Electric Bus, to determine future transit plans for Zion National Park. RATP Dev assisted in the lease of a 40ft. long-range Proterra bus for a three-month trial period. With the partnership of the local General Manager, the three-month trial period allowed our RATP Dev Mechanics, Operators, and Key Personnel to become proficient with the Proterra bus procedures to replicate the management, training and mechanical duties for a future fleet.

Colorado Springs

RATP Dev was selected in 2011 to provide and maintain transportation services for Mountain Metropolitan Services of Colorado Springs, Colorado. RATP Dev continuously strives to leverage technology to increase operational efficiencies and improve communication throughout the business. In June 2013, tablets were given to Colorado Springs employees to improve operations and manage services. This initiative saved on printing lessened paper usage and resulted in an overall lower environmental impact while also improving communication.
