Solution

The city of Belgrade has established a strategic partnership with RATP Dev to support the city's Secretariat for Public Transport and BMV (Beogradski Metro i Voz) in developing the future automated metro system.

This new “Early Operator Assistance” contract, which follows the extension of a “Memorandum of Understanding” from July 2022, reflects the Serbian authorities' confidence in RATP Dev’s expertise and the quality of the advisory and support work already carried out for the project. This partnership strengthens the cooperation between BMV and RATP Dev, ensuring that Belgrade’s future metro system meets the highest international standards.

As part of this agreement, RATP Dev will leverage its international experience and expertise to assist in defining the functional design and specifications of the future automated metro. This support will cover operations and maintenance, safety, passenger experience, and lifecycle optimization.

Belgrade’s automated metro project is currently the largest and most significant infrastructure project in the Republic of Serbia.
