Solution

As of January 1, 2018, and for a five-year term, RATP Dev is managing the CTRL Lorient urban transportation network through its subsidiary RD Lorient Agglomération.

The CTRL network caters to over 200,000 residents across 25 municipalities. There are 52 regular city-bus lines, 96 school bus lines and specific services including 4 maritimes lines, 4 high-frequency lines, 6 summer lines, a  demand-responsive transport (DRT) service and a paratransit service for passengers with reduced mobility.

RATP Dev is working with the local authority Lorient Agglomeration to eventually restructure the Lorient network, in an effort to improve the passenger experience. RATP Dev is also planning to optimize Triskell’s infrastructure of bus-only lanes, to provide more regular service and reduce travel time.

In the coming months, various commercial actions will be launched to customize and optimize customer relations, such as boosting the customer sales office, unveiling a new website and improving real-time information in buses and at bus stops.

Maritime lines are an asset in the region, quickly connecting municipalities from the bay to the Lorient city centre. A summer line rounds out the current network for trips to the sea or the Port-Louis citadel, which is highly appreciated by tourists!

The CTRL network is also involved in local life and partners the Lorient Interceltic Festival,  transporting festival goers day and night over ten days. An evening network of 14 lines runs throughout this renowned international celtic music festival!
