These renewals will allow RATP Dev to continue to provide comprehensive support to Belgrade’s Secretariat for Public Transport and BMV (Beogradski Metro i Voz) in developing the city’s first metro network and future public transit network. This is a pivotal project for Belgrade, aiming at modernizing its transport infrastructure and promoting sustainable urban development.
Known as the Green Line, LRT Line 1 is the first metro line of the Manila LRT system. Operational since 1984, LRT-1 has been a cornerstone of Manila’s public transport network covering 20.7 km with 20 stations.
Over the past decade, RATP Dev and LRMC have overcome numerous challenges, particularly those arising from Manila’s increasing urban density. Despite these hurdles, the partnership has flourished, significantly enhancing the region’s public transportation landscape.
Following the vote of the SYTRAL Mobilités Board on March 28, the transport authority confirms the awarding to RATP Dev of the contract to operate TCL’s ‘heavy modes’. This contract includes:
Four metro lines, of which two are automated, 102 metro trains and 44 stations along 70 km of tracks, carrying 50% of the network’s daily ridership;
Seven tramway lines, 107 tramways, and 128 stations along 71 km of tracks;

The general memorandum of understanding led to the signature of a first commercial contract on January 13, 2023, and since then RATP Dev has been working alongside Belgrade’s Secretariat for Public Transit and metro company, BMV (Beogradski Metro i Voz), offering advice on the development of the capital's metro project, based on its specific experience of driverless system operator.
