RATP Dev selected to manage the transit services of the city of Asheville, in North Carolina
Fort Worth, TX (August 14, 2017) – Today, RATP Dev, a global leader in public transit,
announced it has been awarded the contract to manage Asheville Redefines Transit (ART), the
transit services for the city of Asheville, North Carolina. The City of Asheville selected RATP
Dev through a national competitive process that awarded the contract based on best value
procurement. Contract services are set to begin September 23, 2017 and will cover an initial
period of four years with two additional two-year renewal options. RATP Dev has appointed
RATP Dev introduces electric bus service at Zion National Park
The vehicle, a Proterra E2, is being used full-time on regularly scheduled routes from August through October. It operates alongside the rest of the current LPG-fueled fleet and is part of a pilot program that will inform broader plans to introduce more electric units at the park.
RATP Dev wins contract to operate bus network in Lake County, Florida, and continues to expand in the U.S
The bus network has over 7 lines and 54 vehicles and covers Lake County and environs. McDonald Transit Associates will begin operating the network on March 6th, 2017. In addition to operation and maintenance responsibilities for the bus network, the RATP Dev subsidiary will hire and train staff members and is tasked with drafting operating procedures.
