RD Brest, the local subsidiary of RATP Dev that operates the Bibus network, is currently testing an innovative new passenger information service. This new category of agent is a "virtual avatar" who is on hand to provide information to public transit users in Brest.
The CTRL network works today with a fleet of recent buses (combustion engines) ensuring already respectable ecological performance, but Lorient Agglomération is committed to going farther in tomorrow’s energy transition. The conurbation has launched a new experiment with the aim of testing new buses using the latest green technology.
The shuttles will interact with other vehicles at the site and with pedestrians and cyclists. They will also traverse intersections and pedestrian crossings and negotiate speed ramps and crossroads. There will be an operator on board.
