Solution
The urban community of Caen la mer has awarded RATP Dev a six-year contract to manage and maintain the Twisto mobility network, starting on January 1, 2025. The network serves some 275,000 inhabitants in 48 communes.
From July 2025 until 2030, the network will be upgraded:
With enhanced intermodality. The network will offer more connections between different modes of transport, especially the train, including on Sunday evenings.
The Twisto Flex transport-on-demand service will be extended to 4 additional zones.
The introduction of open payment on buses and streetcars will be effective from 2026, making mobility services accessible via a simple payment card.
A new T4 tramway line will enter service in 2029, along with the extension of the T3 line to the west. Additional school routes and new Vélolib and Twisto Auto stations will also be available.
