As part of a tour organized in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Singapour from March 17 to 21, RATP Dev, a subsidiary of RATP Group, in partnership with PTAANZ, is meeting with key local stakeholders to share the Group’s expertise in managing major events.

Building on the recent success of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, led by RATP Group, RATP Dev aims to showcase how the Group’s proven and scalable approach can be replicated worldwide, offering tailor-made solutions for major events and urban transformations.

During this tour, RATP Dev and PTAANZ will highlight the best practices and explore opportunities for collaboration on future projects. As Australia prepares to host the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Brisbane, RATP Dev, a subsidiary of RATP Group, is offering to share its experience in orchestrating complex transport operations for major international events.

RATP Group’s unmatched expertise in major event mobility

For decades, RATP Group has been at the forefront of mobility management for the world's largest events, providing reliable and scalable transport solutions for millions of passengers. From the Tour de France (cycling) to the 2023 Rugby World Cup and EURO 2016, supported by RATP, as well as the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where RATP Dev contributed, each event has been an opportunity to assist its clients. The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games were no exception.

Thanks to its adaptability and efficient methodologies, RATP Group helped make this event a success. With public transport at its core, the Group ensured that every movement, every connection, and every journey reflected the excellence of its network.

For Edgar Sée, Deputy International Director of RATP Dev and former Deputy Director for the Olympic and Paralympic Games at RATP Group: "The Paris 2024 Olympic Games showcased our ability to efficiently manage large-scale projects and ensure seamless mobility during international events. Building on this experience, we now aim to support Brisbane 2032 by sharing our expertise in managing complex transport operations."

For Henri Pottier, Managing Director Asia-Pacific at RATP Dev: "In partnership with PTAANZ, we are bringing our expertise to Australia to support cities in hosting major events. In particular, we aim to contribute to strengthening public transport networks in the context of large-scale events. Thanks to our proven expertise during the Olympic Games, we focus on continuously optimizing infrastructure to ensure efficiency and leave a lasting legacy for the country."

Paris 2024, the keys to success: a structured approach

RATP Group’s expertise in major events is based on three pillars:
•    Anticipation: Years of preparation and experience have allowed RATP Group to anticipate challenges, refine its processes, and develop adaptive transport solutions.
•    Collaboration: Working closely with local authorities, the Paris 2024 organizers, and security forces ensured a seamless, unified approach for a flawless Games experience.
•    Mobilization: With 35,000 dedicated employees, from experienced professionals to volunteers, the entire RATP Group mobilized to embody the Olympic spirit, delivering excellence at every stage.

Operational excellence and infrastructure improvements

The Metro Line 14 and its extension, operated by RATP on behalf of Île-de-France Mobilités, exemplify RATP Group's commitment to innovation and efficiency. Connecting Saint-Denis Pleyel to Orly Airport in 40 minutes, the extension of this high-capacity, fully automated line was delivered on time and within budget, despite the challenges posed by the Olympic Games. With 800,000 daily passengers, it combines reliability, speed, comfort, and energy-efficient trains.

The Group's operational excellence was also demonstrated in real-time network management. From late departures at Roland-Garros to unexpected surges in traffic, continuous monitoring and adaptive strategies ensured smooth journeys for passengers, supported by a robust incident response system.
