CTRL is launching the tixiPASS mobile app to make it possible for passengers to travel legally on the buses and boats of the Lorient network while complying with social distancing and avoiding contact.

As lockdown measures are gradually lifted, everyone wants to resume using public transport, but in complete safety. This is why the CTRL network that serves the Lorient conurbation has launched the tixiPASS mobile application. The simple and easy-to-use app makes it possible for passengers on bus and boat lines to purchase and validate tickets using their smartphone. All it takes is a few clicks to choose a one-journey ticket, a ten-journey ticket or a day pass.

This initiative is one of the safety measures addressing COVID-19 that have been deployed by CTRL in support of the decisions made by Lorient Agglomération since the start of the pandemic. This includes social distancing on the network, daily disinfecting of buses and boats, on-demand transport services for health care professionals, etc. All these measures are continuing during the lockdown relaxation period to limit the virus spreading and ensure safety for everyone – passengers and inhabitants of the Lorient conurbation along with CTRL network employees.
