Since 10 August, RATP Dev subsidiary CTB, which operates the Marinéo transport network for the conurbation authorities of Boulogne-sur-Mer, offers locals to rent electrically-assisted bikes for three, six or nine months.

Launched this summer, the new Marinéo vélo service from Compagnie des Transports du Boulonnais (CTB) offers the long-term rental of electrically-assisted bikes, providing an alternative and accessible-to-all mode of transport to promote soft mobility in the region. This initiative is part of the commitments made by the Communauté d’Agglomération du Boulonnais conurbation authorities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the region.

With Marinéo vélo, CTB invites locals to discover a new way of traveling: to go shopping, commute to work or school, or just tour. Forty electric bicycles are already available for hire. Featuring a powerful battery lasting up to 75 km, a comfortable saddle, a luggage rack, and a basket, these bicycles provide users with comfort and ease of use. Tailored to the Boulogne-sur-mer region, the electric assistance will effortlessly take cyclists up the town’s hills!

To promote intermodal connections with the bus network and acquire new customers, CTB has developed a very beneficial pricing structure that includes a 10% discount on rentals for season ticket holders of the Marinéo network.

To test the new service, all you have to do is sign up in a Marinéo store and then pick up your bike from Cycléo, the bicycle specialist in and around Boulogne-sur-mer partnering this new offer. At the end of the rental period, customers can renew once for up to twelve months.

Through this initiative, RATP Dev is once again showing its commitment to sustainable mobility with tailored soft mobility solutions catered to meet territories and users' needs.
