Two projects, one vision
RATP Dev Mobility Cairo, a subsidiary of RATP Dev, operates two flagship projects in the Greater Cairo region: the Green Line 3 metro and the Capital Train (LRT). These infrastructures embody a new vision of mobility, combining performance, accessibility, and sustainability.
In just a few years, Green Line 3 has undergone remarkable expansion and now serves the capital's most strategic and densely populated neighborhoods. The Capital Train, meanwhile, efficiently connects Cairo to the New Administrative Capital, facilitating interurban travel.
These two networks are designed to work in synergy, with seamless connections and services focused on the passenger experience. RATP Dev Mobility Cairo employs more than 3,000 people, 99,5% of whom are Egyptian, trained at a local training center dedicated to developing talent to international standards for the subsidiary, the market, and beyond.

RATP Dev Mobility Cairo and the inclusion of women
Women have been at the controls of Cairo's metro and trains since 2023. They underwent rigorous training supervised by RATP Dev Mobility Cairo and the Egyptian National Authority for Tunnels. Their careers symbolize a major step forward for the inclusion of women in public transport in Egypt. Today, 17,6% of RATP Dev Mobility Cairo's workforce is made up of women.

Inclusivity & accessibility
Inclusivity is at the heart of RATP Dev Mobility Cairo’s operations. We are committed to making our stations and trains accessible, safe, and welcoming for all passengers - especially people of determination and elderly travelers.
Our network is equipped with elevators, dedicated access gates, and visual door-closing indicators onboard trains to support passengers with reduced mobility and hearing impairments. We are also proud to employ staff from the hearing-impaired community, who support passengers through sign language and help ensure a smooth travel experience.
For passengers unable to walk, a dedicated assisted-travel service is available, providing wheelchairs and trained customer service agents who accompany passengers from station entry through boarding and all the way to their destination.

Corporate social responsibility
RATP Dev Mobility Cairo is committed to creating positive social and environmental impact through meaningful CSR initiatives.
Through the Bridges of Opportunities program, implemented in partnership with Samusocial International and other partners, we support the socio-economic reintegration of young people in street situations in Cairo. The program offers hands-on training, professional mentoring, and real job interviews, helping participants prepare for internships and future employment opportunities. We also collaborate with the Baṣeera Foundation to support visually impaired passengers, enabling them to confidently navigate stations designed to serve people of determination.
Our environmental commitment is reflected in the “Plant a Tree in Your Name” initiative, delivered in partnership with Shagarha, where the top Capital Train riders are rewarded with a tree planted in their name at a Capital Train station.

Digitalization & Passenger Experience
Enhancing the passenger journey through digital innovation is a key priority for RATP Dev Mobility Cairo. We continue to digitalize passenger information services by introducing advanced passenger information systems and QR-code-based solutions.
These tools provide easy access to real-time journey information, station services, and guidance - helping passengers travel more confidently and efficiently while enjoying a seamless mobility experience.

Since its takeover in 2021, Green Line 3 has been extended to serve key areas such as Downtown Cairo, Zamalek, Mohandeseen, Imbaba - the most densely populated neighborhood in the world and Cairo University. With more than 500,000 passengers transported daily peaking at 650,000, it embodies a concrete response to urban mobility challenges. Green line 3 is connected to the Monorail in Stadium station and Line 1, line 2 and Capital Train (LRT)Each extension improves accessibility to central and peripheral neighborhoods, while reducing pressure on the road network. The line is known for its regularity, cleanliness, and high level of service, contributing to a smooth and safe transportation experience.

By operating the Green Line 3 and the Capital Train, we are helping to transform mobility in Egypt every day. Our local teams, committed and trained to the highest international standards, are proud to offer reliable, safe, and connected services that serve the region's residents and support its sustainable development.
