A multimodal strategy for a connected cross-border region
With twelve municipalities in Haute-Savoie and a new area formed from the merger of Annemasse Agglo and Communauté de communes du Genevois, TP2A has expanded its scope of action and now lends its expertise to support the new Genevois Français Mobilités authority.
With its border with Switzerland, dense urban hubs and rural areas, TP2A is implementing a multimodal strategy to improve travel throughout the region located in the greater Geneva area.

Innovative services to streamline daily travel
This strategy includes rolling out services that meet the actual needs of residents. Transforming one of the 7 bus lines into a Bus Rapid Transit line called “Tango” has notably created a fast connection between two park-and-ride (P+R) lots with a shuttle running every 10 minutes during rush hour.
Line 17 of the Geneva tramway was also extended by TPG to Annemasse, connecting to the TAC network, while an additional line was added, the Léman Express cross-border RER, reducing travel time between the two cities to 20 minutes.
These interconnections and new services have enabled unprecedented continuity between France and Switzerland within the Greater Geneva area, made possibly by cooperation between the various mobility players in the region.

Sustainable mobility and accessibility for all
To include all regions and populations within this mobility transformation strategy, TAC Mobilités continues to innovate: on-demand transport for areas without service, passengers with reduced mobility and active people across the entire network, a long-term rental service of 160 bikes (VéloTAC), 280 secure bike parking spots with 24/7 access and replacing buses with electric vehicles (20 new vehicles between 2023 and 2026) as part of a decarbonization effort.

Operating a network in Annemasse means building bridges between communities. Our teams are proud to connect Haute-Savoie and Geneva every day, by offering accessible mobility solutions that make this massive region more dynamic and cohesive.
