RATP Group’s commitment to supporting and promoting the Rugby World Cup

RATP Dev and its parent company, RATP Group, have been avid supporters of French rugby since 2005, serving as the official transportation provider for the men's rugby team.

Demonstrating their unwavering dedication, RATP Group is once again stepping up their involvement during the preparatory phase leading up to the Rugby World Cup 2023. During the months of July and August, RATP Group will provide transportation for the French men's rugby team, ensuring they have a smooth journey with the help of two luxurious vinyl-wrapped coaches, a lead car, and a team of four skilled drivers.

Through its commitment, RATP Group will participate in promoting the international sporting event over the course of 51 days of tournaments.

Fans from all corners of the globe will rely on RATP's extensive transport network to reach the iconic Stade de France, as well as the vibrant Rugby Villages located at Place de la Concorde in Paris and Saint Denis. Notably, the Stade de France will host ten exciting matches as part of the Rugby World Cup 2023.

Mehdi Sinaceur, Deputy CEO, RATP Dev stated: “RATP Dev is delighted to support rugby and the World Cup, which is a key event for many of the countries in which we operate and for our partners and customers. We place great value on the importance of teamwork throughout our operations, a principle that also rules the world of sports, and we look forward to transporting all teams and their supporters in France and around the world.”

Engaging experiences for our passengers and fans

RATP Group are dedicated to fostering meaningful interactions with their passengers, and as part of this commitment, we are organizing a series of exciting activities across our network in conjunction with the major sporting event:

• The RATP Rugby Park will make a comeback at RER Auber station (RER line A) from September 5th to 8th, 2023, marking the launch of the competition. Set against the backdrop of a giant rugby pitch, passengers and fans alike can look forward to rugby initiation sessions, immersive photo booths, and an array of other engaging experiences. These activities will resume from October 24th to 27th, 2023, providing a thrilling finale to the tournament before the grand final at the Stade de France.

• A venue dedicated to the French national team and its fans has opened in July in the RER interchange at Nation station (RER line A) and at Saint-Denis Porte de Paris station (metro line 13). It will feature a photo exhibition showing the highlights of the French national team at the Rugby World Cup, a photo booth and much more.

• Last but not least, pre-match activities will be held in the two stations – Saint-Denis Porte de Paris (metro line 13) and Front Populaire (metro line 12) – that serve the Stade de France. They will notably include face-painting workshops for fans of competing teams.
