Strategic collaboration for operational excellence
Since 2015, RATP Dev and Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC), the operator of Manila's LRT-1 metro line 1, have been in partnership of trust. As a technical collaborator, RATP Dev acts as an expert advisor to LRMC and provides operational support in the areas of equipment and infrastructure maintenance, line operation and staff support. For example, RATP Dev provides training for all local employees working on board the metro.

Doubling the number of passengers on metro line 1
Crossing the heart of one of the largest megacities in the world (13 million inhabitants) along a north-south axis, Line 1 or "Green Line" is a backbone of Manila's public transport. A major 11-kilometer southward extension project has been launched to combat traffic congestion and add connections via the future Unified Grand Central Station built in Quezon City.
Associated with this strategic project for the region, RATP Dev is playing a pivotal advisory role in the design of a new, safe and efficient network. With more than 800,000 passengers expected, this extension should double the number of passengers on line 1. It will connect Baclaran and Bacoor in 25 minutes compared to 70 currently.

Our shared commitment to improving public transport in Manila is key to the success of the partnership between RATP Dev and LRMC. We look forward to continuing this collaboration and bringing even more innovative solutions to the region.
