Integrated and sustainable asset management

At RATP Dev, asset management underpins the performance of our networks. We have developed an integrated approach that ensures the reliability, availability, and sustainability of all our assets: rolling stock, infrastructure, systems and equipment (elevators, escalators, ticket machines, display screens, etc.)

Our areas of expertise:

Predictive maintenance

Using cutting edge digital solutions, such as Opserve, based on utilizing data to anticipate breakdowns...

Systematic and conditional maintenance

Planning the maintenance of equipment according to its condition, its criticality, and the risks associated with its failure by drawing on recognized expertise in systematic and conditional maintenance, acquired and honed over time. Standardize and facilitate the roll-out of a CAMM (computer-aided maintenance management) system through our MaintCare program.

Corrective maintenance

Responding to breakdowns to get systems and equipment up and running again.

Optimizing the life cycle of assets

Safely maximizing the service life of assets by combining maintenance in operational condition, technical upgrades, and innovative expertise.

Integrated engineering

Thinking about the maintainability of equipment and infrastructure right from the design phase ensures their satisfactory performance and durability.

Responsible management in the service of the locations where we operate

Thorough maintenance of assets and seeking the best economic balance offers a path to responsible asset management. This principle, which drives the business model of the RATP Group, continues to guide our approach. From the metro train to the turnstile, we cover the maintenance of infrastructure and rolling stock with a long-term vision. The experience we have accumulated over time, especially on the Ile-de-France network, has made the RATP Group a global benchmark in asset management. We are entirely independent in our maintenance operations, and keep costs under control thanks to synergies between engineering, operation, and maintenance.

Extending the life cycle of assets

We implement our integrated approach in order to extend the service life of our equipment. In the case of trains (metro trains, trams, regional trains), our recognized expertise in property maintenance and obsolescence management gives our equipment longer service lives than those claimed by their manufacturers. In the case of buses, the combination of historical know-how and technical upgrades extends their service life by several years, without compromising their reliability or performance. Several generations of equipment can function side by side on the same network because we standardize the use of our equipment to optimize renewal and reduce costs while maintaining the same service quality.
