A Hong Kong, la filiale chinoise de Veolia Transport – RATP Asia assure depuis avril 2009 l’exploitation du Tramway historique de Hong Kong et de ses 150 trams à deux étages à travers la société Hong Kong Tramways.

C’est la seule ligne au monde utilisant des trams à deux étages, auxquels la population de Hong Kong est particulièrement attachée. Le réseau lancé en 1904 transporte aujourd’hui quotidiennement quelque 240 000 voyageurs.

Veolia Transport – RATP Asia a mis au point un plan ambitieux de modernisation du réseau et d’amélioration du service notamment dans le domaine de la relation clientèle, la sécurité, la maintenance et la formation du personnel.

Veolia Transport – RATP Asia est une société commune à 50/50 créée en 2009 pour accroitre leur potentiel de développement sur l’Asie, et plus particulièrement en Chine, Corée du Sud et en Inde. La société commune ambitionne de devenir un des leaders du transport urbain en Asie.

In Hong Kong, the Chinese subsidiary of Veolia Transport - RATP Asia in April 2009 provides for the operation of the Tramway Historical Hong Kong and its 150 double-decker trams through the Hong Kong Tramways Company.

This is the only line in the world using trams in two stages, which the people of Hong Kong is particularly attached. The network launched in 1904 now carries about 240,000 passengers daily.
