Thousands of people commute every day between Swiss Geneva and the French alpine town of Annemasse.

RATP Dev teamed up with the Geneva public operator TPG to create TP2A, a bi-national partnership (RATP Dev 51%, TPG 49%).

Five years later, the franchise was enthusiastically renewed. Capacity had grown by nearly 50%.

The new 8-year contract grants TP2A more latitude and responsibility to introduce public transport in larger geographic area.

Under RATP Dev’s management, TP2A has increased services with longer opening hours, renovated the bus fleet, introduced transport on demand for low density and 9-seat vehicles specifically designed for disabled passengers.

quick facts

TP2A serves 12 French communities and part of Geneva, with 36 eco-friendly buses (euro IV and euro V norms).

One third of its 13,000 passengers use one of its lines entering Geneva.
